Specifically, administrators participate in SCTEM to network with colleagues and travel-related suppliers, benchmark institutional expenditure policies and practices, facilitate the negotiation of supplier contracts, gain knowledge and develop professionally.
Since its inception by Indiana University in 1986, SCTEM has attracted administrators from all 50 US States and almost every Canadian Province. The Society is of service to institutions from all Carnegie Classes (research, vocational, medical, community colleges, etc.), both the public and private sector, and all intercollegiate athletic conferences (PAC 10, Big 10, etc.). The Society also attracts participants from local, state, and federal government agencies.
Contributions to SCTEM are tax-deductible.
SCTEM is hosted by the University of Washington, which is a not-for-profit, 501 (c).
